Six fire crews tackle disused pub blaze in Bulwell

SIX fire crews were called to a blaze at a former pub in Bulwell last night.

Nobody was injured in the fire in the former Swinger pub in Hucknall Lane, which is now unoccupied.

Firefighters said about 20 per cent of the ground floor of the building was severely damaged by the blaze, which started at around 11.50pm.

The rest of the two-storey building had heat and smoke damage.

Two crews from Stockhill fire station, two from Arnold, one from Central and one from Hucknall put out the flames.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place today.
