Police have charged a man after a dog attacked a two-year-old girl and her mother in Radcliffe-on-Trent.
The incident happened at 5.50pm on Tuesday near a medical centre in High Street.
The girl's face was scratched and bruised and her mother suffered a broken bone in her hand and puncture wounds.
A warrant was executed at a house in Radcliffe-on-Trent this morning under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and a man was arrested.
A Staffordshire Bull Terrier was seized and the owner has agreed for it to be destroyed as it has been assessed to pose a risk to the public.
Scott Aiden Ozolins, who is not the owner of the dog, has been charged with allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control in a public place.
The 30-year-old, of Queens Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent, will appear at Nottingham Magistrates Court on Friday May 13.
