A WORKER whose body was discovered at a factory was found hanged.
Steven Swift, aged 27, was found at around 11.40pm on Sunday at engineering firm Goodwin Steel Castings.
The worker could not be saved by emergency crews and was pronounced dead at the Hanley factory.
An inquest into the death of Mr Swift, of Carron Road, Fenton, was yesterday opened and adjourned by North Staffordshire coroner Ian Smith.
He said: "The deceased was born in Stoke-on-Trent on November 19, 1983 and died on May 22 at factory premises Goodwin's in Leek Road in Hanley.
"The cause of death is hanging. The inquest is adjourned for a date to be fixed."
