Free State Stars and AmaZulu have played to a draw after failing to find any real momentum in their PSL clash at Goble Park.
|||Bethlehem - Free State Stars drew 1-1 with AmaZulu in the Absa Premiership encounter played at Goble Park Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
The home team exerted pressure from the first whistle searching for an early goal but their strikers were firing blanks.
Mpho Makola played a beautiful through pass and on-form Stars striker Alen Lebyane slotted the ball home, giving the Usuthu goalkeeper no chance.
The halftime score remained 1-0 in favour of the home team.
The second stanza started at a high pace with Stars trying to double their lead, but they were kept at bay by the AmaZulu defenders.
Stars played carpet football, creating numerous scoring chances, but Thabo Matlaba and Makola squandered those opportunities.
In the middle of the stanza, AmaZulu gained some momentum and were rewarded in the 88th minute when defender Mantei Moholo handled the ball inside the box, resulting in a penalty.
