A driver has died and two people have been injured after a crash with a tree this morning.
Two ambulances were called out to Leek Road in Cheadle at around 7am this morning and found a car that had left the road near to the JCB factory.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "The driver of the car, a man, suffered multiple serious injuries, and unfortunately, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
"The two passengers in the car, both men believed to be in their late teens, suffered multiple minor injuries and were treated at the scene. Both were immobilised using spinal boards and neck collars and were transferred by ambulances to University Hospital North Staffordshire for further treatment."
