DETECTIVES investigating a serious sexual assault on a woman in her own home want to speak to three potential witnesses.
CCTV footage shows a couple and another man walking in Upper Huntbach Street, in Hanley, just after 2am on Monday, April 18.
At around the same time, a woman was grabbed by a man and sexually assaulted at a property in nearby Jervis Street.
Now detectives want to track down the three witnesses.
Inspector Chris Harrington, from Staffordshire Police, said: "A team of detectives has been reviewing hours of CCTV footage and found images of three people who might not realise that they could hold vital information about this serious assault.
"We need to speak to a man and woman seen walking up the right side of Upper Huntbach Street towards the Eaton Street area. It's believed they had come from the Ratton Street area.
"On the left-hand side of the road at around the same time, a man is walking up Upper Huntbach Street.
"It's important we speak to them because they may have seen something which could be connected to the assault.
"We need to know what they saw as they walked along the road in the early hours of the morning."
The woman had just arrived back at her Jervis Street home when she was attacked.
Witnesses should call police on 01785 233600.
