Toyota Nigeria pledges sustained network expansion drive

TO ensure an uninterrupted access to its product and services, Toyota Nigeria Limited (TNL) has pledged to sustain dealer network expansion drive.

Speaking at the 2010 TNL award ceremony held recently in Lagos, Chairman of TNL, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo said the resolve was aimed at accessibility and availability of products and services to their customers.

He said, ?in Toyota, one of our core values is giving our customers the best auto brand experience at all times. In keeping faith with this customer first philosophy of ours, all that we have done in recent past and which we will continue to do point in the direction of not only meeting the customers? expectation at every touch point of the business but breaking new grounds in the realm of customer satisfaction.?

Ade-Ojo stated that while sustaining the momentum of dealer network expansion, Toyota is investing in systematic upgrade of facilities across all its existing dealer outlets.

He also disclosed that the management of the company in collaboration with its eight dealers has raised N10 million to support victims of the recent Tsunami and earthquake in Japan.

He added that, the relief fund would be sent to the victims through the Red Cross society in Japan.

Making reference to the recall of Toyota vehicles last year, he said, ?you despite the unpleasant scenario, our position as the number one auto brand in the automobile market still remains indisputable.?

He also used the opportunity to dedicate the achievement to Toyota loyal customers and its business partners.

He said, ?I am glad to inform you that while the recall lasted, we put in place a reassurance check programme to assuage customers? apprehension and the check revealed no single case of Toyota vehicle with a defective acceleration pedal or any related problem in Nigeria.

?To corroborate this, Ray LaHood, a United States Transportation Secretary, recently, gave a clean bill of health to all Toyota vehicles when he submitted in a report of investigation ordered in 2010 by the American Congress on some Toyota Vehicles acceleration complaints that there is no electronic-based cause for unintended high-speed acceleration in Toyotas.?
