City brewers seek couple set to marry on same day as William and Kate

ARE you getting married on the same day as the Royal couple? If so, Nottingham's Castle Rock Brewery wants your help.

The award-winning firm is brewing its own commemorative 'Kiss Me Kate' ale to mark the wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton on April 29th.

Company bosses brewers are looking for a couple who are tying the knot on the same day to help them with the creation of the ale.

The pair will asked to 'mash in' malted barley into the mix before spinkling in the hops, and will be treated to lunch in a nearby real ale pub for their efforts.

The brewery would like the happy couple to provide pictures of themselves and details of their wedding and honeymoon plans, as well as what they did on Valentine's Day.

They must be at least 18 and can be from anywhere in the UK but will have to make their own way to Nottingham.

A total of 46,080 pints of Kiss Me Kate will be brewed, and will be available in Castle Rock's 22 pubs throughout April.

There will also be 100 bottles made for memento collectors.

Said Castle Rock's head brewer, Adrian Redgrove: "Kiss Me Kate will be elegant, tasteful and British to the core.

"It'll be brewed to 5%, pale in colour and, we're sure it'll be the ideal way to toast the couple's future happiness."
