UberTwitter has decided to change its name to UberSocial to get Twitter back on their side after being suspended.
|||San Francisco - UberTwitter has decided to change its name to UberSocial and “made the changes Twitter requested”, and are waiting for a decision about their suspension from Twitter.
The last tweet from UberSocial said: “Thanks for all of your support, we are patiently waiting for Twitter to approve the changes we made yesterday to comply with their request.”
In the short time that the newly named UberSocial was suspended, SocialScope - only in its beta stage - took advantage by sending out invites to everyone who signs up, according to ibtimes.com.
Twitter announced UberTwitter’s suspension in a post at the San Francisco firm's online help centre, citing “policy violations”, on Friday.
“Every day, we suspend hundreds of applications that are in violation of our policies.”
Twitter said that it was taking the unusual step of sharing the news because “today's suspension may affect a larger number of users”. - IOL
