|||Umlazi - Santos fought back with a late equaliser to draw 2-2 with AmaZulu in an Absa Premiership encounter at King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday night.
AmaZulu were placed on the back foot early on when Thamsanqa Sangweni was sent off in the 13th minute for a professional foul.
Santos took advantage of their depleted hosts to take the lead in the 38th minute when Tyren Arendse latched on to a pass from Jurie Basie to score from long range.
After the break, however, AmaZulu fought back to equalise after Tangeni Shipahu connected with a pass from Sibusiso Hadebe to find the back of the net.
The home side struck again 15 minutes later, this time through Hadebe who scored from close range to give his side a 2-1 lead.
The visitors nonetheless held their composure and five minutes later Basie found the equaliser from the edge of the area.
Santos remain rooted in the top half of the table, in seventh place on 32 points, with AmaZulu three points behind in ninth. - Sapa
