Gala dinner to mark milestone

A FUND-RAISING dinner to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Air Training Corps has been organised by 238 (Hartshill) Squadron.

The event will be staged on February 11 at the function room at Port Vale Football Club, Hamil Road, Burslem.

A spokesman for the squadron said the event will also help to raise funds for the restoration of the Supermarine Spitfire which is housed at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.

Any former cadets or staff from squadrons in the area that would like to attend the dinner should call 01782 612923 on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 7pm and 9.30pm or email on oc.238@aircadets.org.
